As a specialist in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the innermost tooth structure, Dr. Darlene Davis is often called upon by other dentists or peers from across the greater Suwanee, Georgia, area. They trust their patients with some of the most complex and challenging cases to Dr. Davis and our Soft Touch Endodontics team. We also welcome hearing from patients regardless of referrals from other dental practitioners. In these cases, getting a second opinion may be in the best interests of the individual’s health and overall well-being.
Unlike other initial evaluations, Dr. Davis will objectively and closely examine your specific areas of concern. She also has many sophisticated diagnostic tools that are only available at specialty offices. These tools allow her to obtain precise and accurate details about a tooth or problem in your mouth. From there, she makes a well-informed recommendation based on a trusted diagnosis.
No. This does not reflect our distinguished peers’ knowledge, experience, and capabilities. In our area, you have the good fortune of having many talented dentists and specialists to choose from, but they all vary in their backgrounds, interests, skills, and onsite technologies and services.
Yes, it’s possible. We will not know until after Dr. Davis closely examines that damaged tooth. Only then can she recommend options to potentially preserve the tooth. These options could include non-surgical root canal therapy or even surgical interventions, the most common of which is called root-end resection or apicoectomy.
Whenever possible, we want to preserve and restore the tooth back to its attractive appearance, strength, and healthy function. We would never want to unnecessarily remove a tooth that could have been preserved with endodontic procedures such as those available at our office in Suwanee, GA. No artificial tooth is superior in form and function to the natural tooth structure that developed with you. Preserving the tooth is an affordable alternative to replacing it/them with bridges, dentures, and implants.
This could be a sign that it requires retreatment. While root canals have a high success rate, circumstances may present obstacles to healing following initial treatment. As a specialty endodontics practice, we routinely perform root canal retreatments. We may be able to preserve your tooth and combat the infection once and for all. If retreatment isn’t indicated, Dr. Davis is also happy to discuss surgical alternatives.
If you are unsatisfied with the “first opinion” and are curious about alternative options, contact Soft Touch Endodontics today. We are here to help with sound and sophisticated guidance. Our team can be reached at (770) 212-9771 and welcomes your call.
