The power of specialty expertise, onsite capabilities
Endodontics refers to treating conditions affecting the tooth’s innermost part. This tissue, known as the “pulp,” may become damaged due to an array of conditions, not limited to dental disease and trauma.
Root canal therapy is a nonsurgical endodontic treatment. It largely involves removing the damaged or diseased pulp. Then, the pulp chamber and the surrounding root canals are cleaned and reshaped. Lastly, the treated site is sealed off to prevent reinfection, support healing, and preserve the tooth.
As an endodontist, Dr. Davis has the advanced experience and qualifications to assure treatment is performed safely, painlessly, and successfully. In fact, other dental professionals turn to her to resolve complex cases. She is also adept at successfully performing root canal retreatment among those patients whose teeth fail to heal properly following root canal therapy at other practices.
At Soft Touch Endodontics, we use cutting-edge technologies to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal treatment outcomes. We also have many safeguards in place to protect the patient. These advanced tools and precautions include:
- Precision CT scans and 3-dimensional imaging
- Pulse oximetry and sophisticated blood pressure cuffs for safe anesthesia and monitoring throughout treatment
- Defibrillators and other emergency equipment for ultimate peace of mind
Dr. Davis is also uniquely qualified as a specialist to provide surgical endodontic treatments. These treatments require an advanced understanding of symptoms and conditions affecting the interior parts of the teeth. They also need additional training on specialized techniques to resolve pain and damage to the innermost tooth structure. The most common surgical endodontic procedure, apicoectomy, is called “root-end resection.” It “saves” a badly damaged tooth by removing the root tip or end and surrounding inflamed tissues.
Do not wait for problems or changes such as toothaches, sensitivity, and swelling to take hold. With prompt care, we can preserve a deeply damaged tooth and avoid the need for extraction or the removal of the affected tooth. Call 770-831-7644 to reach Soft Touch Endodontics of Suwanee, GA.
